Below are some FAQ's for your benefit that may help understand who we are and why gutter cleaning is important to the health of your home.
DENVER GUTTER CLEANING: WHAT DO WE DO?
Very basically, we work from your roof or from our ladders using best in-class safety standards. We remove leaves, debris, soil (the leaves turn into soil...your gutters are great composters) and other things (like tennis balls that you throw for your pup and end up in the gutters). As a crucial part of the gutter cleaning process, we check that all downspouts are clear of debris and working properly. We run a hand held plumber's snake through clogged downspouts ensuring that they are clear. Worst case we may have to take the downspouts apart and then reassemble to ensure they are in good working order.
*We will leave the bagged debris from your gutters and roof by your trash or in the alley dumpsters. We can haul it away for an additional $30 fee.
If water is spilling over your gutters the gutters are either clogged with debris or the gutters may require repair. Maintaining your gutter system helps keep water away from your home which helps prevent the growth of moss, molds, etc. and helps keep the mosquitos and wasps at bay. We can also perform certain gutter repairs at that time. We keep your gutter system working properly!
WHY SHOULD I HAVE MY GUTTERS CLEANED?
Residential and commercial gutters that haven't been cleaned tend to be full of debris. This debris causes rain water to back up and flow over the edge of the gutters causing foundation damage, siding damage, etc.. Standing rain water also causes sagging and rotting of your gutters which means a good bit of money out of your pocket to fix. Denver Gutter Cleaning offers services that may cost a little over the short term but will save you hundreds or thousands over the long term.
Many professionals within the real estate industry have found regular gutter cleaning to be a vital home maintenance item. When purchasing a home many home inspectors will look at the condition of the gutters and observe if they have been cleaned or maintained. When selling your home you will want to have your gutters cleaned before an inspection is scheduled.
Denver Gutter Cleaning also has the skills to assess the condition of the gutters and make any gutter repairs if needed. Such repairs may include sealing gutter seams, adding downspout extensions and repairing gutter brackets. We do new seamless gutter installations as well.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE A GUTTER CLEANER OUT?
For most customers, we recommend cleaning out your gutters and downspouts four times per year; however, many customers opt to receive six gutter cleanings per year. Our auto recurring, gutter cleaning maintenance schedules help ensure that your system is protecting your home from potential damage while providing you with peace of mind. We often recommend cleaning multiple cleanings during Fall, during the season and then after most of the leaves have fallen. This will keep your gutters from holding water and then freezing. Problems like this are very common and cause so much damage yet are easily avoided with a little planning and will save you from costly gutter repairs. People spend hundreds and thousands of dollars repairing the effects of freezing/thawing (ice damns) on their gutters, wood work and foundations.
The other time to have a gutter cleaner out is in the spring as your trees bud and produce leaves/seeds/flowers. Most people don't realize how many seeds, etc. come off of a tree this time of year. It's enough to easily clog/prevent drainage and cause the dreaded "run over the top" syndrome that damages foundations, siding, fascia, etc.. We find all sorts of things clogging gutters for instance, pigeon droppings, nests, dead animals, kid's toys, pet toys, roof shingles,etc.. Call or submit a quote today to get on schedule!
